A must-have checklist! Individuals typically need W‑2s, 1099s (for contractors, investments, etc.), 1098s (like mortgage interest), bank and investment statements, receipts for deductible expenses (charity, medical), and last year’s return. You will find all of the documents we require in the client portal. https://app.financial-cents.com/client-portal/login
The standard federal deadline is April 15, but if it falls on a weekend or holiday, it moves to the next business day. If you are a current client before April 15, we automatically file a 6 month extension for you as a courtesy.
If you e-file with direct deposit, expect your refund within ~21 days. Paper returns take much longer—up to 6–8 weeks. Use the IRS's “Where’s My Refund?” tool for updates, conveniently found on our website: https://accentfinance.net/wheres-my-refund%3F.
